Volunteer on a Community Construction Project in Guatemala

You will assist in building energy-efficient stoves, promoting agriculture and rearing livestock and help families who live below the poverty line improve their living conditions. Teach English in Guatemala
Join GVI on this volunteer program teaching English to indigenous children in communities situated near Antigua, Guatemala. By teaching English to these children, while working with a qualified TEFL trainer, the children are more likely to learn English and pass their exams. As a volunteer teacher you will spend half the day teaching English and the other half planning the next day’s lessons with your TEFL teacher. Volunteers on this project will take an introductory TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course in Guatemala which will help prepare you for your teaching job ahead.

Volunteers needed to teach at a free school for children, "Manos de Colores." This school is part of El Nahual Language Center, a non-profit organisation which serves the local children and their families.
